Pricing & Insurance FAQs
Are sessions in-person, remote, or both?
I provide sessions both in-person at my office in South Orange Village, as well as virtually via Zoom. You are welcome to set up a hybrid of both session formats, depending on what works best for you.
What is your per-session fee?
My typical rates are as follows:
Individual Sessions: $275
Couples Sessions: $300
Do you accept insurance?
While I am not in-network, I encourage you to check with your individual insurance provider to see if they cover out-of-network mental health services. Therapy fees are typically paid out of pocket via cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle. Weekly or monthly superbills can be provided to clients to submit for out-of-network (OON) reimbursement.
Where are you licensed?
I am licensed in New Jersey.
What is your clinical training background?
I have been a practicing therapist for over 30 years. I obtained my MSW from Columbia University and then trained and worked at the Ackerman Institute for the Family for 8 years. I have been trained in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy), Family Systems Therapy (Ackerman Institute), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS).
I find that my background in these different modalities allows me to tailor my work to suit the needs of individual clients. I work both emotionally and experientially in order to understand attachment issues and how they impact both individuals and couples.
I want to set up my first session, what steps should I take?
If you are interested in setting up an individual, couples, or family session, please reach out to me at miranda_aaron@yahoo.com or give me a call at (917) 699-7482. During our initial conversation, I would love to learn more about your needs and align on the next steps that make sense for your situation. I look forward to hearing from you and stepping in to help where I can.
What is your cancellation policy?
A 24 hours cancellation notice is required to avoid being charged for the full session.
